The Lexington Players hosted a special Benefit
Performance
which included the play
Inescapable Mutuality, a reception, and an interactive panel
discussion entitled,
“Building New Bridges: Blacks, Jews & the Civil Rights Legacy.”
The panelists were Dr. Brent Coffin, Harvard's
Kennedy School; Rabbi Howard L. Jaffe, Senior Rabbi, Temple Isaiah,
Lexington; Sal Jones, Artistic Director, Lexington Players; and Leona
Martin, President of the Afro-American Historical and Genealogical
Society, and Commissioner of the Lexington Housing Authority.
Proceeds from this night's performance benefit
ArtSpan’s Pragmatic Arts Program at Munroe Center for the Arts
a new program which uses visual and dramatic arts
to help children on the Autistic spectrum
or those with social cognition challenges
develop social awareness and social communication skills.

The
culmination of theatrical collaboration, Hannah Hammond-Hagman, ArtSpan
Director at the Munroe Center for the Arts, is pleased to receive $2,000
raised for The Pragmatic Arts Program, by the recent Lexington Players
production of Inescapable Mutuality.
The Pragmatics Arts Program will use visual and dramatic arts to help
elementary and middle school students who struggle with peer
relationships and social skills. Pictured from right: Sal Jones,
